Nighthawk
My fever's down and a nasty cold remains so my mind isn't completely up to thinking again...

So Watchmen; I really liked it except that in the middle it felt too long, but it picked up pace after the break so that was good. I kind of missed the Newsman interludes, but I liked seeing him and the comickid a couple of times.
Rorscharch, Nite Owl II and The Comedian were very well cast! I loved them! The other characters? Hmm. Not sure. Ozymandias wasn't as bad as I expected him to be after I read some reviews and some opinions of you guys though.
The music was... good for the most part, but at some moments it was just awkward (that scene with Dr. Manhattan in Vietnam for example). However Dylan's The Times They Are A-Changing in the opening credits was pretty awesome (that whole scene was awesome).
The ending was possibly better than in the graphic novel, I'm still not sure about that.
I hated Bubastis in the book and I hate it even more in the movie I think.

Oh and my feverdreams tried to convince me that Jon Osterman and James Wilson (House MD) are somehow related and that I had to save the world from some evil plot they put together. Er...
O.o

ETA: Oh there was a mother with her sons (? son & friend? dunno) who were about 14 years old at the movie. Heh. I think she regretted that :P
26th-Jun-2007 11:33 pm - Weird dreams
wolvster
This morning I was rudely pulled from my sleep by some moron who though it was useful to blow leaves under my window in the middle of a fucking storm at 7.30 am. So after I closed the window, crawled back in bed and put some earplugs in I fell in a restless sleep and had some weird dreams;

- I was me. I was at my old middle school, but everything was different. I had class with people I didn't know and my niece (right...) in the music classroom. My teacher was the teamleader I had at v. Dijk's last year and we were studying Neurology. I told her I already knew the book (Gazzaniga, 2004) by heart and didn't want to do the course. That's all I remember. I woke up again, turned off my alarm clock and went back to sleep.

- I was Logan (which isn't all that weird for me) and somehow I caused two people's death and didn't take the blame for it. Then the spirits of those people went somehow into two little birds and while I was working at the garden (at my parents place*frown*) They were suddenly in my hands and they were accusing me of killing them and I had to squeeze one of them to death and throw the other against the wall to be freed from guilt or something. Besides the obvious weirdness, this was also strange because it didn't feel like a bad dream.

- I was Murdock (from the A-team) and we had just rescued Amy with a parachute (I think) when we were in a car on the highway chased by the MP. Somehow we managed to get rid of them and ended up in Kampen. Face, BA, Amy and I were crammed in the backseat, while Hannibal drove. Face was horribly carsick and almost hurled. So I put my arm around his shoulders, told BA to open the window on his side and said to Face to puke in that direction. LOL. We hid in a large hall in Kampen(which doesn't even exist) from the MP, where several men and women were oppressed by others, so of course, being the A-team, we decided to help them. There was something vague with a shower, but I can't remember that clearly. Anyway I was Murdock, meaning I was crazy and Face was getting better from his carsickness. Hannibal found saws and we attacked our enemies with those but we couldn't actually harm them with the saws we could only knock them out with our bare hands. BA was wounded and missing a hand and still I was saying: 'BA, fight!', but he said he wasn't allowed to by Hannibal until his hand had grown back (seriously; WTF?). Well the fighting continued for a while and when we finally got them we cut of their hair and let them go (huh?). Amy came around and hugged me telling me she loved me. So I (still as Murdock) was elated and told Hannibal Amy loved me while jumping around excitedly. Hannibal however told me: 'who doesn't Murdock?' and then I felt sad and woke up.

I don't think I ever remembered dreams so detailed before...

Conclusion: Do not watch EVIL DEAD with Daan before you go to sleep, it was too damn hysterical. Instead read a nice calm book or something. Also next time the moron is cleaning a way the leaves in a storm; hit him.
